Privacy Policy

The HMC HANSE Management Consulting GmbH (hereafter „HC“, www.hanseconsulting.de, Datenschutzbeauftragter@hanseconsulting.de), is pleased with your visit of our website. Data protection and data security are important concerns to which we pay special attention. The information on this site is designed to inform you about the types of personal data processed by HC when visiting the website and what this data is used for.

It may be considered necessary to change this privacy statement due to changes in legislation or changes to the internal processes in our company. We would thus like to ask you to regularly read through this privacy statement. You may access the privacy statement by clicking on the “Privacy Policy” link, save it and print it at any time.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the websites of the HMC HANSE Management Consulting GmbH as well as the HANSE Interim Management GmbH (hereafter „HC-Gesellschaften“), which can be accessed under the domains hanseconsulting.de, hanse-interimmanagement.de as well as hanse-ma.de (hereafter „our site“).

2. What is personal data?

Personal data refers to any information which can be used to learn about personal or factual circumstances about you (e.g. name, address, telephone number, date of birth or email address). Data that does not allow us to deduce information relating back to your person (or that only does so with a disproportional effort), e.g. anonoymized data, is not considered personal data.

3. Which personal data is collected/processed by us and used?

Large parts of our website can be accessed and used without specifying personal data.
However, we do store log files that contain the following information:

  • the name of the file that has been accessed,
  • the time (date and time) of accessing,
  • the amount of data that has been transmitted,
  • a notification about successful accessing,
  • your web browser, your operating system and the enquiring domain, as well as
  • your IP address.

This data is analysed exlusively for the purpose of improving our services and does not allow any conclusions to be made about your person.
Should you wish to make use of one of our services that are advertised on our websites, such as subscribing to a newsletter or ordering a brochure, it is however necessary that you provide further data.  This concerns data which is required for processing, such as your email address when subscribing to a newsletter.

We use the data that we have collected to provide the services and products offered by us, to answer your questions, for our business and to improve our websites and applications.

We use your personal data exclusively to be able to provide an extensive service through our website or to render the service requested by you should you use our contact form.

We will refrain from passing on your personal data to a third party, unless you have given your consent.  At present, all transmissions are encrypted, prohibiting the access of a third party.

For the purpose of this policy, the HC-Gesellschaften are not considered third parties.

However, we reserve the right to transmit your personal data to external service providers in the context of processing an assignment in terms of the Federal Data Protectio  Act (BDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Act (GDPR).

There is no further use of your personal data. Personal data will not be transmitted to a third party or for marketing purposes, unless you have consented to this (subject to the cases outlined below) and unless we are legally bound to surrender data (information to criminal prosecution authorities and courts; information to public authorities receiving data due to statutory provisions, e.g. social security organisms, financial authorities etc.) or that we consult legally bound third parties in order to inforce our claims concerning professional secrecy.

In particular, we use personal data for the following purposes:

 Contact form

Should you make use of the contact form to send us enquiries, we will ask for your first and last name, the company you work for and your email address or telephone number. You can also leave an individual message  by using the message box.

You can decide at your own discretion whether you would like to share this data with us or not. At present, all transmissions are encrypted, prohibiting the access of third parties.

You can revoke your consent hereto at any time by contacting Datenschutzbeauftragter@Hanseconsulting.de.  If you do not give your consent or revoke it, then your data will not be used according to the above-mentioned paragraph. You can of course still use the services provided by HC.

4. User profiles / Use of cookies

We do not create any personalized user profiles, other than in the aforementioned cases. We only store such data on our servers that is anonymized and used for the performance of the various services that we provide or for analytical purposes. We store this data in conjunction with the access of the desired data. During this process, general data is logged, e.g. at what time which contents from our services are accessed or which pages are visited the most.

We do not use so-called „cookies“ (small text files containing information about configuration) besides session-cookies. Cookies are small pieces of data that are sent from our website to your web browser and which are stored on your computer for later use.

When you visit our website, cookies are stored on your computer for the time visiting our site. This serves to optimize the user-friendliness and enables users to simply and quickly access our websites.

Most browsers have a default setting, accepting cookies automatically. You can disable cookies, so that they are never stored or change the browser setting so that the browser will notify you prior to storing cookies.

5. Social media

Our websites do not contain any buttons linking to social media.

6. Matomo

This website uses Matomo, an open source software for statistical analysis of visitor access. Matomo relys purely on JavaScript and and does not use cookies for this purpose. The information gained about your use of our website is transmitted to our server and combined there into a pseudonymised user profile. This enables us to evaluate the use of our website and to design the website according to your needs. This information is not forwarded to third parties. The IP address is not associated with any other of your personal data. An allocation of your IP address is prevented by anonymization using IP masking. Matomo is configured on our website in such a way that a “Do-Not-Track” setting in your browser is observed.

If you do not agree with the storage and evaluation, you can object to it by the following link. As a result, an opt-out cookie is stored in your browser, which means that Matomo does not collect any session data.

7. Security measures for data protection

We are obliged to protect your privacy and to treat your personal data confidentially. In order to avoid any loss or abuse of the data that we store, we take a wide range of technical and organizational safety precautions which we review on a regular basis and which we adapt to technological advances.

We would however like to inform you that due to the structure of the internet, it is possible for other persons or institutions which are not under our control to ignore data protection regulations and the aforementioned security precautions.

8. Hyperlinks to external websites

Our website contains hyperlinks to websites of third-party providers. When these hyperlinks are activated, you will be automatically directed from our website to the website of the third-party provider. The URL will change when this happens. We cannot take any responsibility for the confidential use of your data on these websites, due to the fact that we cannot influence whether these companies comply with data protection regulations or not. For any information about how these companies handle personal data, please consult their websites.

9. Revocation / Objection

We would like to inform you that you can withdraw your consent with future effect and object to the processing and use of your data for marketing purposes at any time: Please contact Datenschutzbeauftragter@Hanseconsulting.de. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

I am aware that I can give my consent voluntarily and withdraw my consent at any time by contacting Datenschutzbeauftragter@Hanseconsulting.de. If I do not give my consent or withdraw it, this does not affect the use of services provided by HC Gesellschaften.

10. Your rights related to the personal data we store / Storage period

We will only store your personal data for as long as it is permitted by law. Personal data will be deleted when the user withdraws their consent to the storage or when storage is not needed any longer to fulfil the pursued purpose, in particular when the user account is deleted or when the storage is not permitted by law.

Upon your request, we will gladly give you any information about which data we have stored about your person. Should we be storing any inaccurate data despite our efforts to keep correct and up-to-date data, we will rectify these immediately. You also have the right to receive this personal data whose processing you consented to in a structured and commonly used format that can be read by machines and to transmit this data to another controller with or without the help of the controller to which the personal data has been provided.

You are allowed to review, change or delete the data that was provided to us at any time. You can do so by contacting iDatenschutzbeauftragter@Hanseconsulting.de.

Should you wish for the data to be deleted, the data will be deleted immediately upon your request. If the data cannot be deleted for legal reasons, the data will be restricted instead. Please note that if your data is deleted we can no longer provide you with the services described herein.

Should you be of the opinion that the processing of data concerning your person is in breach of the law, you can exercise your right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
